How Putty Party works, what it costs and what happens to your guests' data.

Putty Party is a digital scorecard for mini golf. Instead of paper and pencil, your guests scan a QR code at the entrance and enter their strokes on their own phone. The leaderboard updates live, on the phones and, if you like, on a big screen. It is made for mini-golf venues that offer it to their guests all season, and for one-off events such as company parties or birthdays.
No. The QR code opens an ordinary web page in the browser. There is nothing to install, no sign-up and no e-mail address. Guests only enter a name, and a nickname is fine.
The group scans the code at the entrance, enters their names and starts playing. On the phone everyone sees, hole by hole, where they are, the par and, if you have added one, a tip for the hole. After each hole the strokes go in. At the end the placings are settled, and the result can be shared as an image.
No. One person in the group can enter the strokes for everyone, hole by hole in a fixed order. That works well for families with children. Anyone who wants to keep their own score scans the group's code and joins in. Both ways feed the same leaderboard.
Yes. The leaderboard has its own view for big screens. You open it in any browser, for example on a smart TV, a laptop on a projector or a tablet at the counter. The podium, ranks and moves up and down update live as soon as somebody enters a score.
A smartphone with a camera and an up-to-date browser, iPhone or Android. Because everything is live, the phone needs an internet connection, either mobile data or your guest Wi-Fi. If the connection drops, the page says so and the entry can simply be sent again.
As usual in mini golf, the fewest strokes win. Scores are entered either hole by hole or as one total at the end. Players who tie share the place, and the next rank is skipped (1, 2, 2, 4). If you like, a maximum number of strokes per hole applies: whoever reaches it picks up the ball and adds penalty strokes.
In German and English. Every round has a fixed language, so all screens show the same thing. The pages for you as the operator follow your browser's language and can be switched at any time.

You sign up for free and create your venue. A setup assistant walks you through the name, the holes and the look. Then you print the QR code for the entrance. Before the first guest arrives, the test run lets you play through exactly what your guests will see.
No. The code at the entrance is permanent. Every group that scans it starts its own round. You print it once, put it up and use it all season, even across a winter break.
Yes. Putty Party works at any course, whether classic mini golf, adventure golf, black-light and indoor mini golf, or a course at a campsite. You decide how many holes there are, what they are called, their par and your house rules.
Yes, on a paid plan. With Starter the Putty Party branding disappears and the shared result card carries your logo. Pro adds the QR studio: your logo in the middle of the QR code, your colours on the screen and scorecard, and print-ready posters and table stands.
Yes, with Pro. You upload your site plan or trace the holes, and guests see on their phone where they are and where to go next. For each hole you can add a photo, the par and a tip. You can even trace single holes to scale, with borders, obstacles and the ideal line.
Yes, with Pro. The venue leaderboard shows the best rounds of the last 7 days, the last 30 days or all time. To keep it fair, only rounds played under your fixed house rules count. Anyone who changes the rules plays a free round outside the ranking.
No. Putty Party only replaces the paper and pencil. Guests pay you as before, and the code at the entrance has nothing to do with admission or bookings.
Yes. You invite colleagues by e-mail. On the Free plan you can be up to 2 people, with Starter up to 5 and with Pro up to 15.

No. For a company party, a summer party or a birthday at a rented course, you set up a game on the home page in 30 seconds, with no account and at no cost. You get a secret management link straight away to run the game. Print the QR code for your guests, or share the link in your group chat.
Yes. All groups play at the same time and end up on one shared live leaderboard. Helpers get their own link to line up players and enter scores, without being able to delete games or change settings. With Pro you export the results as CSV at the end.
Yes. When entering their name, everyone can add a team or department, and the leaderboard shows it next to the name. So you can see at a glance which department is ahead.

There is a free plan and two paid ones: Starter for €19 and Pro for €49 a month. Paid annually, it is €15 or €39 a month. All prices are final, no VAT is charged (small business under § 19 UStG). A one-off event without an account costs nothing.
The Free plan includes the permanent QR code for your entrance, 3 tournaments and 50 venue rounds a month, and a team of up to 2 people. It is meant for trying things out and for venues where a round is only played now and then. The screen and the result card then carry a Putty Party credit.
Yes. On the home page you can play a demo round at an invented venue without signing up, exactly as guests see it, or look at the operator view. After signing up you get every feature for 30 days, free and without payment details. You can also set up a one-off game without an account at any time, for free.
Not with the season subscription. You choose the months your venue is open, and you are only charged in those. For the rest of the year the subscription pauses by itself. Holes, leaderboard and the QR code at the entrance stay as they are, so there is nothing to reprint.
Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at the end of the billing period. Annual subscriptions can be cancelled at any time: immediately, with a refund of the unused remainder to the day, or at the end of the paid year. You cancel in your account or via the "Cancel contracts here" page linked in the footer. On top of that, we refund the fee for fourteen days with no reason needed.

Only what they enter themselves: a name, which may be a nickname, the strokes and optionally a team. Guests need no account and give no e-mail address. There are no analytics services, no ad networks and no tracking cookies.
Games, results and your guests' data are kept in the EU. Putty Party runs on Cloudflare's infrastructure, and the database, image storage and the realtime components are pinned to the EU by jurisdiction, not merely by a location hint. Your account also involves services such as the payment provider and e-mail delivery. The privacy policy lists all of them and where they process data.
Putty Party stores only what guests enter themselves, uses no tracking and processes the data in the EU. You as the operator are the controller for your guests' data, and we process it on your behalf. The data processing agreement (DPA) is public on our website, and every service provider we use is listed in the privacy policy.
Only strictly necessary cookies: one remembers the chosen language, and operators who sign in get a session cookie. There is no tracking and no advertising, and we serve the fonts ourselves. Only once somebody without an account sends a form to start something does Cloudflare Turnstile check in the background that a human is there, and only if they ticked the box agreeing to it. Looking at the pages or just opening a form never triggers it.
Games and results are kept until you reset, archive or delete them. Deleted data disappears from the database immediately and from the rolling backups within 35 days at the latest. You can export all of your venue's data as a file yourself at any time.
Play a demo round at an invented venue or set up your own. Neither costs anything.
